Near, yet so far.
Haven’t been posting because of my exams.. Stress and I really don’t pair well together, will resume updating soon enough. On a lighter note, I took some test shots with my new toy and this was one of them.. Can’t wait to play with it after my papers end!
Some from the Summer of 2008..

Can only mean one thing.
Paris, I cannot wait to fall in love with you again.
Norwegian Wood (ノルウェイの森)

Caught it over the weekend and I loved it. The tone, the actors, the clothes, the cinematography, the light.
But then again, I might be biased. It is a film of a book written by one of my favourite authors after all.
Wanderlusting ; a lil’ sweet & savoury.
Japan -> London -> Paris -> LA.
These are just a few of my favourite cafés & bakeries that I’ve tried from where I’ve globe-trotted…
Hokkaido (Winter,2008) – LeTAO
This place is known for their signature three-texture cheesecakes..
Didn’t manage to take a picture of that but the Mont Blanc we had was equally amazing.

Last sunday’s best
Brunch – La Brezza at the St Regis

Mm, gotta love home-made burrata

Not a fan of panna cotta but this was done with pineapple. Pretty good!

Very-Lemony Cupcakes
So I’ve had a strange fascination with this yellow citrus-y fruit as of late.
Honey lemon tea, lemon granita, lemon curd, using lemon for savoury food.. etc. You get my drift.
Two saturdays ago, as I was preparing to bake meatloaf for the dogs I chanced upon my poor lonely KitchenAid sitting untouched on the counter. Then my hands got itchy and I decided to whip up a batch of lemon cupcakes. Not just any lemon cupcake, but the ultimate lemon cupcake. Meaning, the best of my favourite lemon stuff combined into one. Lemon vanilla cupcake base filled with lemon curd (PH recipe) topped with a thin layer of lemon cream cheese frosting speckled with grated lemon zest. I can’t wait to bake these again!
